Resident Tattoo Artist
As a Tattoo Artist, you’ll turn clients’ ideas into thoughtful, custom artwork while creating a safe, welcoming studio experience. You’ll consult with clients, develop designs, and perform tattooing with careful attention to detail, sanitation, and applicable safety regulations. You are in control of your schedule with flexible start times and hours. We prefer at least 3 years of tattoo industry experience. We will provide clients, though an established clientele is necessary. Duties Consult with clients about design ideas, placement, color, and aftercare; communicate clearly throughout each appointment. Create and adapt illustrations, then tattoo approved designs using appropriate techniques and equipment. Follow tattoo sterilization protocols, sanitation practices, and applicable tattoo safety regulations. Perform body piercing when qualified and authorized, and explain relevant care instructions. Support studio operations, including customer service, sales, and store management tasks; follow first aid protocols and respond appropriately to incidents. Your impact: Careful preparation and clear client communication help clients feel informed and supported while reducing avoidable safety risks. Skills Essential: Tattooing ability, strong illustration and communication skills, client-focused customer service, and consistent sanitation practices. Essential: Knowledge of tattoo and piercing safety regulations and sterilization protocols; first aid knowledge and the ability to follow first aid protocols. Preferred: Background in professional art or design and a working understanding of color theory. Pay: $150.00 - $250.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
