I graduated with a degree in illustration and although it took me a long time to brave it, I have wanted to be a tattoo artist since I was a child. I managed to get an apprenticeship and was taught by an amazing artist who specialises in realism. In the beginning I planned to specialise in Japanese traditional because of my love for drawing however when I started tattooing I loved how realism feels like painting and through watching my mentor for so long it came easier to me than the other styles. I still enjoy incorporating Japanese and surreal elements into my work. My preferred method is stipple shading as I find it very satisfying and it allows me to create unique, detail oriented realism pieces while satisfying the demand for smaller work. I currently work in a busy, walk-in-shop where a lot of people come in for small tattoos. This had given me the chance to become very comfortable with fine line work and also helped me become more efficient in coming up with designs and problem solving. I am usually the only tattoo artist in the shop on the days I work and I am yearning to be around other artists who I can learn from and bounce ideas between. I have started to develop a small client base and I am ready for a change to help me grow as an artist.
